Our Senior Men’s Rugby team has plays in the Poverty Bay Senior 1 competition

The season involves a mix of home games and away games in Gisborne. Athletic rugby has enjoyed great success in recent times, winning the competition in 2011, 2012, 2016, 2021 and 2022.

Senior Rugby Fees:

$180 per season (check out our fees page for more information about our One Sub One Club philosophy).

Senior Rugby Trainings:

The team trains at Athletic on Thursday nights throughout the season, finishing up with an onsite catered meal alongside the senior football team. Training generally gets underway in February.
